Save On Airport Food Prices With Fast Food Apps

It’s been written about so much, but I still don’t do it. What is it? Packing snacks for a flight to avoid airport food costs. I’ve broken down and paid for mediocre food as a result. Especially when a flight time is during a meal hour and eating at home before I leave would just be too early and make me hungry later.

I don’t often eat at McDonalds, but it is a guilty pleasure for breakfast before a morning flight. My hack for beating some of the airport prices is the McDonalds app on my phone.

When I’m in a pinch, McDonalds will do. Look at some of the offers available in the screenshot I took of the app at right.

The app is filled with special BOGO and free offers. I’ve found McDonalds coffee isn’t that bad and there’s almost always a way to get one free with the app.

As an example, I bought a sausage biscuit and chocolate milk and got a free medium McCafé drink - all for $4. That wouldn’t cover my drink at Starbucks near my departure gate.
